Skyfall, Sunshine, and a 28th Year

The skies are dropping sheets of cold rain today in Richmond, along with a predicted cotton ball blanket of snow a little later this morning.  In the middle of all of this meteorological hoopla, there is a very special birthday.  My sister turns 28 today.  I cannot think of a more appropriate weather day than this one for her.  Why, you ask?

If the world is grey, the clouds are heavy, and the outlook is ominous, there has always been a ray of warm light shining through it all, and that light has always been my sister.  No matter how bleak, cold, or dim life's happenings may be at the time for anyone lucky enough to know her, she has always been there in a heartbeat, as predictable and reassuring as a sunrise.  

She radiates everywhere she goes, and I am just bubbling over with excitement that she will be our little Seashell's aunt in about 5 months.  What a lucky little baby he/she will be to have someone like her right down the road to bring laughs, smiles, and love.  

Thank you, Jen-Jen, for never ceasing to amaze me with your ability to bring warmth to a cold day.  I hope your 28th year is your best year yet.
