Fingerprints of You

I have always known that Martinsville, Virginia, has a special way of laying down the groundwork for connecting the dots within the creative spirits of the young people born there.  Through those limitless connections, a foundation is planted that sparks the fire for so many creative journeys.  This foundation has worked to unleash the artistic, raw talent within so many unique minds who proudly call this place their "home".

One of these creative minds is Kristen-Paige Madonia.  With a personality radiating a gentle, effervescent kindness, a presence eluding a softness of spirit, and a magnetic talent for placing words on a page, she is one of a kind.

I had the ultimate joy and pleasure of hugging her today and hearing her read at the Richmond book signing for her newly released young adult work of fiction, Fingerprints of You.  The book reading was held at the quaint Fountain Bookstore, where we all nestled within the walls of the shop on tiny chairs with our ears open, yearning for Kristen-Paige to share her story.

Thank you to Jennifer, my sweet, ultra-wonderful sister for accompanying me.  Together, we enjoyed such a mindful, wonderful afternoon.  From the second we walked into the door of Fountain Bookstore, Kristen-Paige's warmth was contagious . . . her passion for her craft so evident.

We are lucky to know you, Kristen-Paige, and Fingerprints of You is a work of art.  Thank you for sharing your talent, your light, and this treasure of a book.
